In California, Page mandarins are typically harvested from mid-December through March. This timing places them among the early-season mandarins, following varieties like Clementines, and offers growers an opportunity to capture the market early in the citrus season. The commercial market ceases when the Tango Mandarins hit the markets in high volumes in late February.

For large-scale Page mandarin orchards, drip irrigation or micro-sprinklers are ideal, delivering water efficiently to the root zone while minimizing disease risks. Young trees need frequent, shallow watering—every 2–3 days initially—tapering to 1–2 times per week as roots establish. Mature trees benefit from deep, less frequent irrigation, typically once or twice per week, adjusted seasonally.

Consistent soil moisture during spring and summer supports fruit size and sweetness, while reduced watering in fall helps trees prepare for cooler weather. Monitoring soil moisture with sensors or tensiometers, ensuring good drainage, and using mulch or fertigation enhances tree health, yield, and fruit quality.

Page mandarin trees are self-pollinating, meaning a single tree can produce fruit without the need for pollen from another tree. They do not require a separate pollinator variety in the orchard to set a full crop. However, like most citrus, pollination by bees or other insects can improve fruit set and yield, so having pollinators nearby can be beneficial, especially in commercial plantings.
