How Our Lime Citrus Trees Are Different
When purchasing Gillette navel orange trees from TreeSource, growers receive clean-propagated, true-to-type material from verified budwood sources. We emphasize uniformity, strong root development, and early structure so trees establish quickly and grow evenly. Shipping is handled in heavy-duty palletized triwall containers designed to secure pots and protect canopies, ensuring trees arrive healthy, stable, and ready to plant.
For orchardists and collectors seeking a classic California navel with heirloom pedigree, the Gillette orange offers a balanced, true-navel eating experience and a reliable mid-season harvest window. Whether planted in commercial rows, boutique groves, or heritage blocks, Gillette connects growers to the foundational era of California citrus — supported today by TreeSource’s clean stock program and professional handling to ensure healthy establishment and long-term success.
Lime Citrus Trees FAQs
Can dwarf lime trees be shipped nationwide throughout the year, or is it weather-dependent?
At TreeSource Citrus Nursery, we can ship dwarf lime trees on Flying Dragon rootstock for an extra charge nationwide except to Texas and Florida. We encourage shipping throughout the year but are very cautious in winter due to colder weather. We still ship in the winter and have systems in place to ensure the quality of our trees is not risked. Whether you’re looking for a standard lime tree, a specific species of lime tree, or a dwarf lime tree, we ensure that your trees arrive healthy and ready to thrive.
How big of a pot for a dwarf lime tree do we need upon shipment delivery?
The size of the pot needed for a dwarf lime tree upon shipment delivery varies depending on the product ordered. For Citrus Liners, we encourage a 1-gallon to 3-gallon container. We recommend using anywhere from a 3-gallon to a number 7 container for our Small Pot trees. Large Pots can follow a similar container size. Dwarf lime trees are NOT available as Box-Ready Trees.

Citrus Liners, Small Pots, and Large Pots all have different timelines. We encourage you to contact Daniel Cervantes, who can help you with a timeline to meet your desired readiness to fit into your business.
We’ve had nightmare delivery situations with other vendors in the past. If we buy your lime trees, how can we have peace of mind that your delivery methods will be better?
At TreeSource Citrus Nursery, we have been shipping Citrus Liners for many years, all over the continental United States and Hawaii, along with international shipments to various countries. We can’t ship to Texas and Florida, but our customers have been very pleased and impressed with the trees everywhere else upon arrival. At TreeSource, we follow strict shipping processes and steps with every shipment to ensure the arrival of shipments does not jeopardize quality. We are also cautious during the coldest part of Winter and may delay a shipment to avoid damage in transit.
Our shipping operation is highly reliable because we use specialized packaging to protect the trees during transit, ensuring they remain healthy and undamaged. We also monitor weather conditions closely and adjust our shipping schedules to avoid extreme temperatures that could harm the trees. Additionally, our team is experienced in handling and shipping citrus trees, which helps us maintain the highest quality standards.
