How Our Palestine Sweet Lime Citrus Trees Are Different

At TreeSource Citrus Nursery, we grow our Palestine sweet lime trees in CDFA and USDA-certified greenhouses, ensuring the highest quality and safety standards are met. Using only certified budwood, we follow strict growing methods and sanitation practices to guarantee that each tree remains healthy, strong, and ready to take root and thrive.

For nurseries looking to add a vibrant citrus touch, we offer our Palestine sweet lime trees in pots, perfect for small spaces and versatile enough to thrive in various environments. Additionally, we provide robust Palestine sweet lime trees in larger quantities for commercial growers, ideal for planting in orchards or larger-scale operations. Both options are designed to bring the refreshing taste of fresh Palestine sweet limes to any setting, whether for individual customers or larger commercial needs.

TreeSource Citrus Nursery, founded in 1999, is a full-service commercial citrus nursery serving the California citrus industry and greenhouse growers worldwide. We are part of the AC Foods family of companies, operating nearly 20,000 acres of various crops across California, the Pacific Northwest, and Australia. Our commitment to innovation and compliance with stringent regulatory measures ensures that we can ship our trees anywhere in the U.S. (except FL & TX) by USDA/APHIS standards.

Are your Palestine Sweet lime trees grafted or grown from seed?

No, we do not grow our citrus trees from seeds. Instead, we produce our Palestine sweet lime trees by grafting a new root system, known as the rootstock, which ensures perfect consistency across the board. Unlike seeds or plants grown on their own roots, which can show significant variation in flower color, size, shape, resistance, lifespan, fruiting vigor, or fruit quality and quantity, grafting provides uniformity and reliability.

We use precision in every graft to guarantee the best results. Additionally, we use clean, certified budwood for our grafts, ensuring that our trees are healthy and free from disease.

How soon after my Palestine Sweet lime tree arrives will it begin producing fruit?

The time it takes for your Palestine sweet lime tree to begin producing fruit depends on the product you purchase. Since Citrus Liners require some time to establish their root systems and mature before allocating energy to fruit production, it may take a couple of years before they begin bearing fruit. In contrast, our Box Ready Trees are more mature and would produce fruit the following spring after arrival, allowing you or your customers to enjoy fresh Palestine sweet limes sooner.

This is my first time caring for a Palestine Sweet lime tree. Do you offer guidance on citrus tree growth and care?

As citrus tree producers with a wealth of experience and passion for producing exceptional products, we would be happy to give you guidance on caring for your Palestine sweet lime tree. Here are some basic tips to get you started:

  • Location: Plant your tree in a full-sun location to ensure it gets plenty of light.
  • Soil: Use well-draining soil, as citrus trees dislike “wet feet.” A sandy loam or a mix that includes perlite can enhance drainage.
  • Watering: Water your tree regularly, but avoid overwatering. The soil should be moist but not soggy.
  • Fertilizing: Use a balanced citrus fertilizer to provide essential nutrients. Follow the instructions on the fertilizer package for the best results.
  • Pruning: Prune your tree to remove any dead or diseased branches and to maintain its shape.

By following these steps, you’ll help your Palestine sweet lime tree thrive and produce delicious fruit. If you have any specific questions or need further assistance, feel free to contact us!
