Thornless Mexican Lime Trees for Sale

Citrus made easy for growers, nurseries, and distributors

TreeSource offers high-quality Mexican Thornless Lime trees, also known as the Thornless Key Lime tree. These trees are valued for their exceptional fruit and adaptability, making them a top choice for both home gardeners and commercial growers.

The Thornless Mexican Lime tree is prized for producing small, round limes with bright green skin, aromatic zest, and juicy, tangy fruit that is perfect for culinary uses, beverages, and cocktails. Unlike traditional lime varieties, the Mexican Thornless Key Lime Tree has little to no thorns, which makes it far easier to handle, prune, and harvest, especially in home garden settings where accessibility and safety are important considerations. In climates similar to California, the fruit will turn yellow as it matures, but the Key lime flavor will stay strong.

How Our Mexican Thornless Lime Trees Are Different

One of the primary benefits of trees from TreeSource is the careful propagation process. Each Thornless Key Mexican Lime is grafted onto strong, disease-resistant rootstocks that encourage vigorous growth and long-term productivity. This ensures that the tree establishes quickly, grows evenly, and produces high-quality fruit reliably year after year. TreeSource focuses on producing true-to-type trees, so buyers can trust that a Thornless Mexican Lime Tree purchased from the nursery will consistently deliver the flavor and characteristics they expect.

Thornless Mexican Lime Tree FAQs

We’re interested in placing a custom order for Thornless Mexican lime trees along with other tree varieties. What is the expected timeline for fulfillment?

For custom orders, the fulfillment timeline may vary based on factors such as order size, specific varieties requested, product type, available inventory and seasonal conditions.

To obtain an accurate estimate for your order, it’s recommended to contact Sales directly with details about the quantities and varieties you’re interested in. They can provide a tailored fulfillment schedule and assist you throughout the process. Keep in mind that TreeSource is a wholesaler and does not sell directly to the public.

What is the price of each Mexican Thornless lime tree liner, and do you offer discounts for bulk orders?

There is a sliding scale in Citrus Liner pricing, so the more that are ordered, the cheaper the price. Contact Sales for more information.

What are the dimensions of the Thornless Mexican lime Citrus Liners at the time of shipping, including height and root ball size?

All citrus liners are basically the same and are grown in a 1.2” x 8” cone to promote healthy root growth in a pest and disease-free environment. Liners are grown in a Soil-Free Media in accordance with most phytosanitary regulations for shipping internationally. Go to our Products tab for more detailed information.

We’re a retailer who is interested in more mature Thornless Mexican lime trees. Can you help us with this?

No. TreeSource does not sell retail-ready products.

Are your Mexican Thornless lime trees grafted or grown from seed?

TreeSource offers Thornless Mexican lime trees as rooted cuttings and as grafted trees. Rooted cuttings are grown on their own roots, making them an excellent choice to transplant into a 1 gallon container.

While rooted cuttings may not offer the same level of disease resistance as grafted trees, they provide several advantages, especially for container gardening. These trees thrive in small containers, perfect for a retail customer that may want them for patios, balconies, and backyards. For a more resilient tree, TreeSource offers Mexican Key limes on disease resistant rootstocks such Volkameriana or Carrizo.
