Melogold grapefruit is unique for its exceptional sweetness, low acidity, and very large, juicy fruit. Unlike traditional grapefruit varieties, which can be tart or even bitter, Melogold was specifically bred to offer a milder, more enjoyable flavor. It’s a hybrid between a pomelo and a white grapefruit, which gives it a distinctive balance—less acidic than grapefruit, but with a brightness and juiciness that’s refreshing and satisfying.

The fruit is typically larger than standard grapefruit, with a thick, smooth yellow rind and pale yellow flesh. It contains fewer seeds, making it convenient for fresh eating or juicing. Citrus Liners can be made in 3-4 months, while Small Pot trees can take up to 6 months and Large Pot trees can take 12 months.
