Citripot trees are grown in a 4" x 14" (10cm x 26 cm) square container that is specially designed for citrus trees. The trees are grown in a greenhouse on raised benches that can supply bottom heat if needed. Since the container is small it requires a special soil-free media and highly specialized micro-budding methods.
Because these trees are grown in a soil-free media, they meet most phytosanitary importation requirements to countries outside of the United States. Their small size allows 120 to be packaged in 48"(l) x 40"(w) x 36"(w) bulk shipping container. They are a durable alternative to bare-root citrus for export since bare-root citrus are fragile and must be planted immediately upon receipt. A 4" tree can be set-aside for many months after receipt, as long as they receive irrigation.
These trees are suited to shipping anywhere in the U.S. and for shipping outside the U.S. They are designed to allow us to rapidly develop a tree 6-9 months after the order is placed and are only available by advance order.
